TMK SCHOOLS PORTFOLIO
Government of Sindh intend to upgrade existing Government schools identified by District Government, into quality schools under its Adopt a School Program. These schools shall be developed by adopter with an overall objective of improving student learning outcomes through School Development Plan. The Sindh Education and Literacy Department (SE&LD) offered the opportunity to manage over 80 schools in UC Allahyar Turk in district Tando Mohammad Khan where SSSWF is serving more than 300 families. After careful consideration and evaluation SSSWF decided not to adopt and manage all 55 schools allocated in District Tando Muhammad Khan, as initially planned. Despite sincere intentions, the financial and operational constraints, prevent SSSWF from effectively catering to the needs of such a large number of schools. However, committed to the mission and curiosity to contribute to the betterment of education in the region, it was decided to retain and manage eight schools in District Tando Muhammad Khan. The Schools have been carefully selected based on various demographic factors, including geographical location, student enrollment, and overall educational needs of the Community. By focusing resources on a manageable number of Schools, which will enable SSSWF to provide enhance sustainable support to these institutions, ensuring a more significant impact on the education system. We are facilitating the above Schools by providing better resources and academic aid and are intervening and facilitating TMK in handling its enrolment and dropout issues, quality of education, infrastructure, and issues of supply and demand.
