Approach

SSSWF approach is embedded in the design, implementation and execution of our soft and hard core service delivery initiatives and entails that: every citizen is aware of his/her fundamental rights and can engage in fulfilling their civic responsibilities, have access to basic rights which include but are not limited to Education; Healthcare; Sustainable Livelihood; Clean Drinking Water and Preparedness for Adaptation to Disaster Response.

We believe in the continuity of efforts that guarantee participation, innovation and ownership of the local communities, through facilitating the process to build consensus in identification and prioritization of underlying issues and find sustainable solutions and its execution at all levels.

Our core strategy to address issues is rooted in a participatory approach that focuses on the following:

• Build the power and voice of marginalized community and lower-income people to shape the future of their communities and their own lives.
• Organizing and mobilizing communities and key stakeholders.
• Raising awareness and fostering sensitivity among communities and stakeholders for developing sustainable solutions.
• Building the capacities of communities and stakeholders by equipping them with comprehensive knowledge.
• Promoting practice of civic responsibilities in both rural and urban communities.
• Expand micro-finance opportunities and affordable housing.
• Reduce income and wealth inequality across board through community participation.
• Drive the convergence of community development and community health.
• Promote education and equity within the community through strong support and modern techniques.

Our aim is for ensuring that every person, regardless of their background, location, or circumstances, has access to quality education. This idea is based on the belief that education is a fundamental human right and essential for the development of individuals and societies.

The goals include:

  1. Access: Ensuring that all children, youth, and adults have access to education, particularly in underserved or marginalized communities.
  2. Quality Education: Focusing not just on enrollment but also on improving the quality of education. This includes trained teachers, adequate infrastructure, and appropriate learning materials.
  3. Gender Equality: Promoting education opportunities for girls and women, addressing gender disparities in education, and ensuring that both girls and boys have equal access to learning.
  4. Lifelong Learning: Supporting adult education and vocational training to ensure people can continue learning throughout their lives, adapting to changing job markets and societal needs.
  5. Inclusive Education: Ensuring that children with disabilities and those from minority or marginalized groups have access to appropriate educational opportunities.

The global community, through organizations like UNESCO and initiatives such as the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4, has committed to achieving universal education. The aim is to ensure that by 2030, everyone has access to quality education and opportunities for lifelong learning.

Efforts include building schools, training teachers, eliminating barriers to education such as poverty and conflict, and promoting education policies that are inclusive and equitable.
