The Sindh School System Welfare Foundation (SSSWF) was established in 2013 by a group of like-minded individuals committed to progressive educational intervention. Officially registered in 2014 under the Society Registration Act XXI of 1860 (Registration No. KAR NO.062 of 2014-15), SSSWF was created with a distinct mission: to provide high-quality education to children from less privileged communities while bridging the educational and gender gaps prevalent in Pakistan.
Our foundation operates on the principle that education extends far beyond the four walls of a classroom. We believe in creating comprehensive learning environments that encompass the entire world of the child, fostering holistic development and community transformation.
Our Journey
Right from its inception Sindh School System Welfare Foundation (SSSWF) has been a volunteer driven organization. It has its origin as a social movement, from its early years, led by likeminded responsive individuals, interested to serve in progressive intervention for the education and the future of the society, who have been flag bearers.
It is through a long process of evolution that the organization has developed innovative education models that work in partnership with the communities and practice culturally responsive strategies to craft and produce stimulating learning environments.
Objective
Established in 2013 and registered in 2014 under the Society Registration Act XXI of 1860 (registration no. KAR NO.062 of 2014-15) with the objective to provide high-quality education to the children of less privileged communities, in an effort to bridge the education and gender gaps prevalent in Pakistan.

Status and nature of activities
Sindh School System Welfare Foundation (the Foundation) is a not for profit organization, registered under the Societies Registration Act XXl of 1860 at Karachi on November 28, 2014 to undertake activities in the education sector on welfare basis.
The School is engaged in providing free education services to the children of under privileged areas to empower and establish them through academic excellence.

As a registered not-for-profit entity, SSSWF specializes in welfare-based educational programming within Pakistan’s education sector. Our service delivery model provides comprehensive educational support to students from underprivileged communities, with particular emphasis on academic excellence and holistic student development.

Academic Model & Methodology
A student-centered approach to holistic learning
At the start of July 2018, SSSWF’s core team members, along with around 15 volunteers, initiated legwork to enroll students at Public School Korangi (PSK). Over a month of rigorous survey work led the team to places within a 4 to 6 KM radius of the school where there was an overwhelming number of out-of-school children.
Admissions
We received over 500 applications in August 2018. Our admission criteria largely focused on out-of-school children, average children, and children from volatile socio-economic backgrounds. As we faced a shortage of supplies at PSK, mostly electricity and water, we decided to start with a feasible number of 220 children.
Academic strategies
As we started the academic term in September, we were unable to avail books and resources from the Sindh Textbook Board. With the two bread curriculum models in our vision, we currently use a mixture of the product model, which largely focuses on grades and the finished outcomes, as the objective and the process-model which focuses more on learning as a function of time, in other words, a student-centered approach at PSK ensures that children with no schooling background are brought to par with the academic skills and knowledge required at their respective ages while paying heed to their distinct social-emotional needs.

SSSWF leadership comprises some of the most enterprising leaders. These individuals are responsible for conceptualizing and articulating goals that bring our people together in pursuit of set objectives. They lead SSSWF with firm commitment to the values and spirit of SSSWF.
